Love....

This novel caught my eye simply because of the title, ille be honest and then because of the author. lol. I know, a bit bias on my part because this is the third novel by Ms Morrison but this is my blog! Im allowed to be bias! lol I am a bit objective at times but this is not one of those times. So, like i was saying, before my conscience rudely interrupted me, this novel is a really good one, its shorter than most of her ive read but the story is as juicy and dynamic as always. I wont delve into everything seeing as some folks are accusing me of being a spoiler , so ille just give you guys a short glimpse,a lil push. It is a tale of how several women are connected by their love or their dependence(financially) on deceasesd Bill Cosey ( when i saw the name i instantly pictured Bill Cosby with the mack daddy personality of Bing Crosby) a rich hotel owner whose actions had such a lasting effect on these women that long after his death there was still tremendous confusion. There exists tiny sub plots within this novel that makes it ever so interesting, namely the relationship with Heed, Cosey's second wife and his granddaughter Christine. Heed who was Cosey's child bride at the age of 11, has now become the heiress instead of Christine, so you know theres gonna be some drama there. Their roles as adults changed drasticaly because Heed was once a servant and Christine was the pampered heiress. Its twisted and lovely and im giving all the good stuff away, but i dont care. lol Oh and who could forget this sadomasochistic affair between these two workers who were employed by Heed, a young guy named Romen and this tough, knee -high boots-wearing vixen with an extra toe named Junior. They exist as a kind of Romeo and Juliet (hinted by their initials haha!) My favorite quote in this book being from Romen, "Her face was a study....her breasts, her armpits required focused exploration; her skin demanded closer analysis. Was it perfume flowery or more like rain? Besides he had to memorise the thirty-eight ways she could smile and what each meant. He needed a whole semester to figure out her sci-fi eyes: the lids the lashes, the irises, so shiny black." I mean that is a beautiful quote! And theres alot more where that one came from but its the only one I loved completely. Im even blushing just typing these words.lol
So yesssss go cop that book and read the hell out of it cuz its gggggrrreat! LOL
Bye! Kisses....
