When i first read this book i fell in love with the main character whose name is Jemima. She suffered from insecurities,looking to food for comfort, crushing on sexy men who seemed out of her league, she even had a weight issue....i think about 300 stone was more than an issue though. Despite all this she was witty and sweet and quite a loveable character. I enjoyed reading her story. She takes on so many different roles in this novel. Victim, desperate woman, woman empowered,woman scorned and lastly woman on her own two feet, woman loving herself. I laughed , i cried, i envied, it was an adventure.
The men in the novel less than amazing but still in my imagination , and thanks to Ms Jane Greens descriptive skills they are beautiful specimens. *wink*
This book is a must read, i encourage you guys to curl up with this book and enjoy. This tale of a womans quest to become the woman she always wanted to be. How this woman transformed herself from the sad, pathetic, picked -on ,food addict to the amazing woman who is comfortable in her own skin makes for an awesome read , so go out there and start reading all my lovelies!!!!
